Load-bearing capacity of cold-formed sinusoidal steel sheets

Abstract Currently, corrugated cold-formed steel sheets are widely used as parts of cladding panels and roof envelopes in public residential buildings. However, the design is weakly covered by current building codes. This paper investigates load-bearing capacity with sinusoidal profile, presenting results experimental research that was performed GRISPE project at Research Center for Steel, Timber Masonry, Karlsruhe Institute Technology (KIT). Three types tests were carried out: (1) single span under downward loading, (2) internal support upward loading to investigate moment-support interaction (3) end determine local resistance profiles.
